Course program

In this course you will learn how to install, operate, configure, and verify a basic IPv4 and IPv6 network, including configuring a LAN switch, configuring an IP router, connecting to a WAN, and identifying basic security threats. The Course prepares for the entry-level CCNA certification - the foundation for associate-level Cisco certifications. In the skills-building labs, you will gain proficiency with some of the most popular VoIP software and hardware, such as Wireshark, Asterisk PBX, Linksys Ethernet phone, and SIP-based ATA. You will also cover Cisco QoS policy administration and demonstrate successful VoIP calls in high data traffic conditions.

- How to implement QoS to ensure the highest voice quality over your IP networks
- The impact of jitter, latency, and packet loss on VoIP networks
- How to use Wireshark to decode and troubleshoot.
- Setup and Configure the IP PBX
- Configure SIP ATA, IP phones and softphones

STUDENT EXPECTATION:
The course is perfect for students interested in obtaining the Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching certification; for support technicians involved in the basic installation, operation, and verification of LAN networks. Inside this course, you will also learn how VoIP works, why VoIP works, and how to use VoIP. For entry-level network support technicians, and help desk technicians.
